Zech and Haley are those kind of people that are just fun to hang out with. They make you laugh uncontrollably almost out of nowhere and are laid back and down for a good time. We so enjoyed getting to walk with them all the way from engagement to their wedding day. They put a lot of trust in us because we also created the film for their big day!
It was a crisp December day in the Texas countryside—cloudy for the most part, but not too cold. The venue they chose was amazing and took care of almost everything for them, from the flowers to the DJ to the decór — Zech and Haley barely had to lift a finger.
The girls were laughing hysterically through most of getting ready, recounting their favorite memories from high school and college together. The boys were eating wings, watching football, and at one point comparing pocket knives. Their families were already great friends and a big part of the day. Ask any of the Pattons and they'll proudly tell you about their family heritage and its close ties to the great state of Texas. (Zech is a 6th generation Texan!)
The couple chose not to do a first look, but instead prayed together hidden around a corner. I asked Zech if he thought he was going to be able to keep it together and he was convinced it wouldn't be problem since he wasn't going to actually see her.
He lost it.
He was fighting back tears as he prayed over their last few moments as two individuals. Soon they would become one, tied together by an unending covenant made in the presence of God, family and their closest friends. The ceremony was beautiful as was the rest of the celebration that evening (they are seriously some of the best two-steppers I've ever seen).
