It’s hard to wrap up a wedding day in a few paragraphs. If you think about it, you’re not only describing a day that just came and went. What weighs heavy on the subtext of a couple’s wedding day is the culmination of things past that led to the present day, and a vision cast over things beginning on this day and continuing on far into the future.
This depth of meaning was not lost on Caleb and Mary Grace. Two people molded and shaped by those things past — both individually and together — which brought them to the present moment of looking into the future where not one moment would be written into their story absent those plural pronouns we or us. And as they stood at the oak-laden altar of a sanctuary which saw thousands of marriages forged before theirs, together with their family and closest friends, pledged an unending, unconditional, faithful love to one another, thus casting a vision over the rest of their lives.
Hand in hand they walked out of that sanctuary into the long-awaited oneness of marriage.
It was an honor to capture Caleb & Mary Grace’s wedding — both in still images and moving pictures. Scroll down to peep a look at one of Dallas’s oldest "oak-laden altars” and the wonderful celebration that followed.
