Slaton, TX
Bryan and Jane have known each other for 10 years, and have been together for six of those 10 years. They met in 6th grade and grew up together thereafter in the “small” town of Katy, TX. They were each others’ dates for homecoming and prom, naturally. They even have Facebook messages dating back to middle school prodding each other for juicy details on each others’ crushes. They both ended up at Texas Tech for their college years, and after a summer working on staff together at a summer camp in East Texas, their minds were made up.
Bryan made plans, but the day he ended up proposing to Jane was marred by gale-force winds as he got down on a knee on a cliffside overlooking the lake. He might have had to shout and her dress might have flown up once or twice.
Through all of that time, they were developing a love for one another that was based on friendship and their shared commitment to Jesus. The kindness and love Bryan and Jane have for their friends and family is tangible, and it was beautiful to watch all of their favorite people come alongside them to celebrate them becoming man and wife on their wedding day.
Fun fact: the weather on their wedding day was predicted to be abysmal, but if you watch the film, you’ll see it was perfect. The sun even came out and showed off in a good ‘ole west Texas sunset.
In their vows to one another, they committed to fight for humility, trust, laughter and respect in their marriage. Watch for Bryan washing Jane’s feet during the ceremony, with all of their friends and family watching and praying for their future together. Towards the end of the night, everyone headed to the outdoor dance floor lit with stringed globe lights to dance and celebrate together in the crisp Spring air.
